“The most perfect wedding and wedding planners!”
We decided to get married in Kefalonia in October 2019 and reached out to the Mythos weddings team whilst on the island due to their fantastic reviews. I emailed a few different wedding planners, but was really taken by the Mythos Weddings team due to Carol’s quick responses and enthusiastic and caring nature. We went to meet the team (Carol, Demi & Athina) and immediately hit it off with them, and we saw how experienced they were with planning weddings in Kefalonia. We couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else with this other than the Mythos weddings team.
Carol was our wedding planner and was clear in her communication with us throughout. My husband and I were keen to see a number of venues with sea views, and Demi & Athina took us around the island to see the options available. We fell in love with Agrilia Chapel near Sami which has wonderful views from the edge of a mountain. We were then keen to have our reception on Antisamos beach at a beach bar.
As we were getting married in September 2020 with 50 guests, there was many challenges in the lead up to the wedding (including risks of COVID-19 restrictions and also a major hurricane hit 1 week before our wedding!). Throughout the whole lead up, Carol was our voice of reason and kept us calm and optimistic for the wedding. She was determined to make our wedding happen, just as we were, and for her determination we are so very grateful. There was also risk of rain on the day, and Carol really went out of her way to find alternative venues and calm us down!
In the end, we were very lucky that there were no COVID restrictions, no rain and the hurricane did not do too much damage to our wedding venues. And so we were able to go ahead on 27th September 2020! And wow – what can we say? It was beyond anything we could have ever imagined, all down to the Mythos Weddings team (and of course the beautiful venues).
The Mythos team catered for every request that we had – including how to set up the ceremony and reception venues. The whole wedding was planned meticulously and we had support with making all decision from flowers, to the music and the food. The reception at Antisamos Beach bar was just phenomenal, with fantastic food from the Mythos caterers, The day was run amazingly and myself and my Groom did not need to worry about ANYTHING at all as Carol and the Mythos Team were very organised and fantastic with timings.
Many of my guests mentioned how much they loved the Mythos team and how bubbly, down to earth and friendly they were. We had Greek dancers at our wedding, and I am sure I remember Carol getting up and dancing with them which got a fantastic reaction from our guests (although maybe Carol would not like to admit that ;)). Carol also arranged for our official wedding in the local town hall in Sami a couple of days later.
I feel I could continue writing this review with glowing praise about the Mythos Weddings team. But I will stop here and just end by saying that Carol & the team are truly wonderful individuals and wedding planners, and we were so lucky to have them.
