“Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding”

Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding My question to anyone planning a wedding would be… why wouldn’t you chose Carol and the Mythos team?! A friend recommended Carol to me and I’m extremely happy she did because I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. From start to finish Carol was amazing. She made planning fun, she listened to what we wanted but also gave her opinion to help us make decisions. She always answered our questions… even when they were probably quite annoying ones! Considering how stressful weddings are supposed to be, she took so much of that from us and made it really enjoyable. When we went on our recce days to pick venues, she let us take our time and took us to a number of different places for us to choose from. The ones we ended up with were absolutely perfect and I totally fell in love with them. Carol helped us find a brilliant band, an excellent photographer, we made some amendments to the menu which were all taken on board with no fuss, we picked our favourite cocktails, the decorations were made really easy by Athina and on the day she made the place look beautiful and it was very much to our taste. On the wedding day itself, Carol was totally in control of everything and made everything seem easy (even though we know it wasn’t!). The buses all picked everyone up exactly when and where they were meant to because of the excellent schedule Carol had made and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The ceremony was wonderful and ran like clockwork. Len was lovely and had worked in all our amendments to the service perfectly. The setting was beautiful – but also – we were totally at ease because of how ‘on it’ the Mythos team were. It felt really relaxing for us and all of our guests who were having a wonderful time. When we got the reception venue I thought it looked breathtaking. The stage for the band was in exactly the place Carol had suggested which was perfect, the layout of where the bar/tables/food/everything was was perfect. The decorations were stunning (lantern in the trees, candles on the stair cases etc) and when the disco lights got working on the dance floor they really set the mood and everyone danced all night long. Before the wedding, I hadn’t thought that much about the food (even though we love great food) because I realised we were going to be on top of a mountain and it was probably going to be quite difficult to make meals that were restaurant quality. I thought it would be fine… but I also thought it wouldn’t be that big a focus on the day given the wonderful setting etc. But I was very wrong to think that! The food was seriously a-mazing. I’m not sure how they did it but it really was delicious. It was actually the best meal I’d eaten in Kefalonia (and we’d eaten a lot of great food!). We were so impressed – as were our friends who haven’t stopped talking about it (especially the lamb on the spit!). The amendments we’d made to the menu were all there and were delicious (those courgette fritters and the cheese pies…. wow…. yum!). The band were brilliant and the DJ had clearly listened to the playlists of music we’d sent him and Carol because he did a prefect set – which got everyone jumping around non stop. I barely left the dancefloor. To be honest I can’t really fault the day at all. So many people came up to us to tell us what an amazing day they were having… and people keep getting in touch to tell us this too. It was beautiful settings, delicious food and drink, so much fun but also extremely relaxing because we knew it was all in Carol’s very capable hands.
