“Excellent Personalised Service”

Dear Carol and colleagues, We just wanted to send our heartfelt thanks to everything that you did to ensure that our wedding on the beautiful island of Kefalonia went according to plan. Since we visited Assos 4 years ago we knew that there would only ever be one place for our wedding to take place, the beautiful chapel overlooking Assos bay. Not only was our venue non-negotiable but also the window for the date of our wedding as I am a teacher in the U.K. and needed to get married in the May half term holiday. With these strict parameters Carol set about organising our special day. As it was the second time round for both of us and much deliberation, we decided to make the ceremony for just the two of us. Carol completely understood and carried out our wishes to the letter. With all legal weddings abroad, there was much paperwork to prepare, translate and apostille (approve) and the process was drawn out although not too complex. With the Greek Easter being celebrated at a different time to ours there were the added complications of bank holidays and our paperwork ended up getting misplaced. Carol remained calm and stoic throughout and proceeded to book the wedding with scanned copies of our originals so as not to delay the ceremony or official town hall wedding. She even contacted the translator directly to help locate the paperwork. Eventually it turned up and we ended up taking it in person with us to Kefalonia. She moved heaven and high water to ensure that our day could proceed as planned and everything went swimmingly. On the day we had had a little overnight rain and the weather was a little overcast so I just telephoned Carol and asked to postpone for a couple of hours. This she arranged without a second though, contacting the celebrant and photographer to reschedule. From the venue, village setting and local tavern Nefellis where we ate our intimate wedding breakfast and every detail was carefully though out and planned in accordance to our wishes. They even swept the pine needles off the path as we walked up the hill to the church. Whilst we were having out photographs taken someone from the tavern even took the time to ask whether we wanted out table next to the sea or indoors as it was a little windy. We requested a sea edge table and that was hastily arranged with table flowers, balloons and confetti – just perfect. Hence the wedding day was perfect, all that we could have hoped and dreamed of.
